In this video I’ll be discussing a design feature that some decks of cards have that allow you to perform incredible card magic without the need of difficult sleight of hand. It’s called the One-way design principle and it allows you to quickly and easily locate and track cards of interest. See the video for a full breakdown on how this principle works. I also share a strong application for it which allows you to find a selected card under some of the fairest possible conditions.

Before we learn these card controls and false shuffle techniques, we first need to learn how to do an actual real shuffle. One of the first shuffles you ought to learn is called the “Overhand Shuffle” as it is quite easy to do and very useful.
